Swipe through a tether (the cord below each lantern) to cut it: +1. Cut lanterns rise and become stars. Uncut lanterns drift away and cost a flame — you carry three. The violet lantern’s black cord ends everything if your blade touches it. Precision over speed. M mutes.
THE STORY
On the last night of the year, the village ties its griefs to paper lanterns and waits for the cutter — one blade, going lantern to lantern, letting each sorrow rise until it is only light. Among them the dark hangs its own lantern, on a black cord, hoping the blade is careless.
