Watch — some of the nine stones light up, briefly. Answer — tap every stone that was lit (or keys 1–9). Order does not matter. Each round lights one more stone and fades a little faster. Touch a cold stone and the sigil breaks. M mutes.
THE STORY
The old wards were not written — they were pressed into nine stones, and the stones remember being touched. The last scribe visits nightly: the sigil shows itself once, the way a shy thing does, and then waits to see if anyone was truly looking.
