HOW TO PLAY
←/→ or A/D walk the keeper along the bough; on touch, hold a side of the screen to walk that way. Tired birds circle first, then land where they will. Their weight tips the bough — yours is the answer. A bird that finishes its rest flies on warm: +1. Tip too far and resting birds slide; past the tip, the dark takes them. Three lost ends the night. Walking uphill is slow. Past the first few, the wind leans on the bough — the air pales first. M mutes.
THE STORY
The birds of the Long Night still fly — no one knows toward what, only that they are tired, and that the world is all fallen but one bough. It rests on the last knuckle of an old mountain, balanced, and it answers every weight laid upon it. The keeper cannot warm them, cannot call them, cannot ask them to stay. The keeper can only walk the beam and be heavy in the right place, so that rest, for a little while, lies level.
